Burrill Life Sciences Capital Fund, L.P.

Burrill & Company is the general partner of the Burrill Life Sciences Capital Fund, L.P. (the "Fund"). This Fund is the fifth in a series of Burrill venture capital funds and invests exclusively across the entire spectrum of life sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, devices, human healthcare and related medical technologies, wellness and nutraceuticals, agbio, and industrial biotechnology (biomaterials/bioprocess). The Fund operates as a "best of breed" investment fund, selecting only investments in companies that are believed to be the best of their class and those likely to deliver the highest returns on invested capital. The Fund is diversified as to stage of investment and life sciences sub-sector. This fund closed in 2003 and is capitalized at $211 million.
